“My trip to Kenya last October was mind blowing. It was nothing like what I imagined on how a wild life safari would be. We covered three places – Amboseli, Naivasha and Masai mara. It was a 7 day trip.
In both Amboseli and Masai mara, we were put up in a cottage like accommodation with the forest around us. That was an experience by itself. We had protective guards (called masais, about 6.5 - 7 ft tall) to accompany us from the room to restaurant or if you wish to walk around, after 7pm. They always carry a spear with them, just in case… Thrilling right? 🙂
Coming to the safari, imagine yourself standing at the centre of a huge land – thousands of acres of empty grass land - a savannah. And this savannah is filled with tons of wild animals – herds of zebra, wilde beest, deer, antelopes, gazelle, lots of grass, a few trees here and there for that little bit of mystery. And this vastness was bordered by mountains in some places.., one such mesmerizing mountain was the Kilimanjaro. It was breathtakingly beautiful. The amazing sunrise and sunset added to its majesty.
And the wild animals, be it the lions or leopards or cheetahs, especially cheetahs…, they just walk around your vehicle as if you don’t exist. The gazelle was my personal favorite – curious and scary eyes, sprinting around in a pretty color combination of brown, black and white. We also got to witness some interesting incidents - a lion trying to break open a tortoise that went inside its shell (in vain); a leopard that hid its meal (a full grown wilde beest) in a nearby waterbody and pulled it out to eat, once the hyenas were gone.
Another precious memory from the trip was the hot air balloon. Witnessing the wild from up above is an exhilarating experience. The landing was an icing on the cake 😀 We also visited the nearby village and got to see how the villagers live, how they construct their huts, prepare fire on their own and what they eat everyday (no, I am not telling you what they have for breakfast) 😀 And if you are lucky, they will try to dress you up like the way they do.
The weather was just right throughout – neither hot nor rainy. Chilly in the morning and evening and warm during the day, which was perfect. We had light showers at night (along with some wild roaring and growling sound). If you are a nature lover or an animal lover, this would be something to cherish for a lifetime.”

"My African Safari was a life-changing holiday that I had experienced with my family. Though it was a short sojourn that lasted for a week, the rich memories and encounters that we had are unparalleled. From watching the pride of lions within excitingly close quarters to being on the trail of a pack of 5 Cheetahs, it was the most ‘adrenaline-rushing’ vacation for us, yet. The Hot Air Balloon Safari set exactly at the dawn was another picturesque series of moments where we got to see the wild life from a bird’s eye view in the golden shade of the rising sun.
All the arrangements right from the transits to the accommodation to the variety of food options were top class. Though we were a mixed group of Veg and Non Veg, all that we wanted were organized seamlessly. If one is looking for THE holiday of their life-time, then you are definitely at the right place!"
