  • Day 1

Nairobi

Arrival and met upon by our representative together with your driver guide, receive our souvenir safari hat which is not only a gift from us but also the best way to start your Morindat African Safari.
After loading your luggage onto your vehicle you then transferred to your airport hotel for your time at leisure and get ready for your safari experience.

Overnight: Crown Plaza

  • Day 2

Samburu National Reserve

Wake up today with morning breakfast and there after check out and head for Samburu National Reserve with a stop at the Equator crossing line.
Arrive in Samburu in time to check in and time for lunch.
Thereafter enjoy your first afternoon game drive at this unique reserve; the game reserve is renowned for its rare species of animals unique to the park, namely: the long necked gerenuk, Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe and Beisa Oryx.

The elusive Kenya leopard is often known to visit the park, especially in the evenings. Other Kenyan wildlife present in the park includes cheetahs and lions, as well as elephants, buffalo and hippos.

Birdlife is as plentiful as wildlife at Samburu National Reserve, which boasts over 350 different species of birds including vultures, kingfishers, marabous, bateleurs, guinea fowl, Somali ostriches.

  • Day 3

Samburu National Reserve

Have yet another full day in Samburu for morning and afternoon game drive at the park.

  • Day 4

Lake Naivasha

Today after your early morning breakfast, you shall then depart for Lake Naivasha with stop over along the way to have some of the best rural views and visit washrooms.
Arrive in time for lunch with time to enjoy activities by the lake side resort.

Have an afternoon optional out for a boat ride and crescent islands, here what can be seen here include zebras, impalas, buffaloes, giraffes, and hippos. Resident bird species include herons, black cranes, lily trotters, ospreys and fish eagles. – Boat ride + visit to crescent island.

Overnight: Sawela Lodge

  • Day 5

Masai Mara Game Reserve

0700hrs- After you early breakfast you set out on an exciting road trip to the Masai Mara with short stops along the way to visit washrooms and stretch your legs.

1300hrs- arrive in the Mara with a check in at your camp then followed with time for lunch and thereafter lunch short time to relax before embarking on an afternoon game drive.

  • Day 6

Masai Mara Game Reserve

Sunrise game drives. After breakfast, leave with picnic lunch boxes for a full day exploration of the Wilderness.

Masai Mara- Serengeti National Park

Today after your early breakfast and head off for Isebania border point and after clearing with the immigration you shall swap your safari vehicles and now met upon by our Tanzanian counterpart who will be with you in the Tanzania sector – Serengeti National Park National park (Seronera)

Pick up from Isebania Border and drive to Serengeti National Park with your picnic lunch boxes.

The Serengeti is probably the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world. Within its 15,000 sq km area it hosts 3 million large mammals. More than 35 species of plain animals- zebra, wildebeest, eland, giraffe, and others are found here. And so for the big five: elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard and rhino. The park is the staging zones for one the most spectacular events in the natural world- the annual migration of wildebeest.

This commences around June when over 1 million wildebeest, zebra and gazelle head for the Masai Mara in Kenya in search of pasture. They are followed closely by the predators of the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures. The Serengeti also has over 500 species of birds.

  • Day 8

Serengeti National Park

Breakfast at the Lodge/ camp drive for a full day game drive at Serengeti with lunch boxes on board, evening back to the safari camp for dinner and overnight

  • Day 9

Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservancy - Karatu

Breakfast and depart from the Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with picnic lunches. Drive through with an optional stop at Oldupai Gorge (visit of Olduvai is quoted separately) Enjoy a picnic lunch. Then drive through Ngorongoro Conservation for a game viewing experience at the crater, later ascend and check at your hotel in Karatu Area.

  • Day 10

Karatu – Lake Manyara - Moshi

Breakfast at lodge and depart for Moshi area with a game viewing drive in Lake Manyara which is on your way before Arusha Town.

Arriving later afternoon fpr check in at the base hotel and time at leisure.

Overnight: Springlands Hotel Moshi.
Meal Plan: Bed & Breakfast.

  • Day 11

MOSHI | MARANGU PARK GATE | MANDARA HUT Altitude: 1,830 m - 2,700 m Hiking distance: 11 km Hiking time: 4-5 hours

Leave Moshi town and drive for about 45 minutes to Marangu Gate on the eastern side of Kilimanjaro. Do the necessary paperwork at the park gate such as registrations. Begin hiking through rainforest from the park gate to Mandara Hut. Stop half way for lunch. A side trip to Maundi Crater (about 15 minutes away) is a good way to see the surroundings as well as views of Kenya and Northern Tanzania. Bathrooms are available with running water.

  • Day 12

MANDARA HUT | HOROMBO HUT Altitude: 2,700 m – 3,720 m Hiking distance: 10 km Hiking time: 5–6 hours

Wake to breakfast as usual (if you wake before sunup you can get some great photos of the sunrise). Pack and begin the hike to Kibo Hut. The first half of the day’s hike traverses the upper heath land while the second half crosses the vast saddle that connects Mawenzi and Kibo. The saddle is an alpine desert that resembles a lunar landscape. Be careful to notice signs of altitude sickness. No running water at Kibo Huts.

  • Day 13

HOROMBO HUT | KIBO HUT Altitude: 3,720 m – 4,700 m Hiking distance: 10 km Hiking time: 6–7 hours

Wake to breakfast as usual (if you wake before sunup you can get some great photos of the sunrise). Pack and begin the hike to Kibo Hut. The first half of the day’s hike traverses the upper heath land while the second half crosses the vast saddle that connects Mawenzi and Kibo. The saddle is an alpine desert that resembles a lunar landscape. Be careful to notice signs of altitude sickness. No running water at Kibo Huts.

  • Day 14

KIBO HUT | SUMMIT | HOROMBO HUT Altitude: 4,700 m – 5, 895 m – 3,720 m Hiking distance: 16 km Hiking time: 15+ hours

Wake at around midnight to a light breakfast, and then prepare for the summit ascent. This part of the hike is carried out during the early morning before dawn so that the climbers reach Uhuru Peak at around sunrise. Leave at about 1:00am and reach Gilman’s Point at about 7:00am. The climbers are met with views of the crater from Gilman’s Point because it is on the Crater Rim. Another 2 hours of hiking brings the climber to Uhuru Peak, the summit. From there you will descend back to Kibo Hut, collect your things and cross the saddle again at Horombo Hut where you will spend the night. Enjoy dinner and get some well-deserved sleep.

  • Day 15

HOROMBO HUT | MARANGU PARK GATE | MOSHI | DEPART Altitude: 3,720 m – 2,700 m Hiking distance: 18 km Hiking time: 6-7 hours

Wake as usual, pack and descend to Mandara Hut. Take lunch there and continue on to the park gate where you will be met by your transport back to Moshi. Continue on to the park gate where you will be met by your transport back to Moshi. Tips is recommended and highly appreciated and can be given to the Guide at Springlands Hotel. This is also where successful climbers receive their summit certificates. Those climbers who reached Stella Point (5685m) are issued with green certificates and those who reached Uhuru Peak (5895m) receive gold certificates.

Later evening transfer to the airport for your outbound departure flight.
